Voters approved the bond referendum in November 2024 with 64% in favor. Construction ran across all eight schools and wrapped up in about a year. Work of this size usually takes much longer.

I’ve helped build a Board that works for our schools. Since 2023, the Board has passed an $89 million referendum, finished the construction in about a year, made full-day kindergarten free, and moved math and reading in the right direction. I’m running again to build on that momentum and help our district become one of the best PK–8 districts in the state.

What a working Board made possible.
Full-day kindergarten, tuition-free.
Starting in 2026–27, D64 families no longer pay tuition for full-day kindergarten. It lowers the cost of a D64 education for every family with a rising kindergartner.
Math and reading moving up.
District-wide, 68% of students met their math growth targets and 66% met them in reading last year, with results improving across grade levels. And we have continued work to do here.
Serving our highest-need students at home.
New specialized programming means students who need the most support can be served inside D64. That includes extending our Structured Learning Community to middle schoolers.
Why I’m running again
“A plan only matters if someone stays to implement it.”
None of what’s above happened because of one board member. It happened because this Board got clear about its job. We set direction, partnered with our administration instead of second-guessing it, and treated the community’s money responsibly.
In May 2026 we unanimously approved Strategic Plan 2030. I, along with the rest of the Board, helped draft it. It’s the most academically ambitious plan D64 has put on paper in years, and it’s built to move this district from good to great in the classroom.
Plans like that fail for boring reasons. Turnover. Drift. A board that loses the thread. I’m running for four more years to make sure this one gets implemented, measured, and finished.
